Well, tis day 1 and all through the country I did fly. Down to Phoenix and then over to San Diego. The first 5 hours of the trip I was bombarded with screams and cries of the not so adorable children seated in front of me. Love airplanes, but, I didn't pay for the ticket so I will not complain. On the second half of this trip I met a very nice lady sitting across the aisle from me; the window seat by her happened to be open and she offered it to me. I gladly obliged. She was a pleasure to sit with on the plane.
As we approached San Diego I didn't even feel the plane touch the ground (props to the pilot)..... :D...... Had to call the hotel so they could pick me up, and sat down to talk to the nice lady again, she had a 4 Hour wait for her ride. I couldn't even imagine. We got talking and I used my nifty smartphone to find a casino for her to hang out at. . . it was her idea. . . Here's where I start to feel terrible. We were talking and she had just started a story "When I visited New Orleans last..." and the hotel driver phoned me. Unfortunately without thinking I rudely got up and walked away from this nice lady and went up and found him because he said he was going to get ticketed if I didn't hurry up. I feel bad for just walking away. Not even saying goodbye. . . oh well I'm sure she understands, and I hope she wins a ton of money at the casino.
Got to the hotel, and the room was not booked. Luckily they had a room in one of the blocks set aside for people like me. Got up to the room, 51" TV and 2 queen beds! Nice!
Now I sit facing South in a Starbucks. Contemplating whats to eat for $20 around here. Thinking a Po Boy shrimp sandwich sounds delicious. Wanted to try Swordfish, but it's almost 30 bucks. I'll pass.
Tis day 1 and all the the country I did fly, so good bye for now. Until I find another fine establishment with free wifi...
Cheers.
Bon Voyage! Sounds like a great beginning!
